Atlantic Health System’s Gagnon Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation (GIBTI) provides physicians, residents, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and other health care professionals with additional training and education in their field. The institute is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Level 1 Comprehensive Education Institute and has been recognized by Becker’s as part of 34 hospitals and health systems with great simulation and education programs.

Our facilities contain:
- Laparoscopic and robotic surgery simulators to hone surgical precision and technique.
- Patient simulators that create immersive, realistic clinical scenarios.
- Mannikin models on which to practice essential skills.
- Medical and surgical equipment that mirrors real-world Atlantic Health hospital environments.
- Specialized areas in which students can train in meticulously recreated health care settings, including:
- Operating room (coming 2024)
- Emergency department trauma bay
- Intensive care unit room.
- Multipurpose exam room
