Rachel Malchi Gwertzman, DO

Rachel Gwertzman, DO, is a pediatrician with Atlantic Medical Group Pediatrics at Scotch Plains. Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, she specializes in caring for infants, children, and young adults with special attention to their continued physical, psychological, and emotional development. Dr. Gwertzman is focused on the overall health and well-being of children in her care. She is skilled at diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses and injuries and pays special attention to monitoring the achievement of milestones in a child’s development. Her warm and compassionate demeanor helps to instill trust with her young patients while also creating an openness with parents to discuss concerns that may arise. Dr. Gwertzman participated in a medical mission to Haiti to provide medical assistance to children in a rural clinic and has collaborated on several clinical research projects and presentations related to childhood medical conditions. She has a particular interest in helping patients and families achieve healthy lifestyles by providing them access to tools and educational resources to support and guide them. After earning her degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Gwertzman completed her residency at Goryeb Children’s Hospital - Atlantic Health System. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
