Nisha Kotecha, MD

Dr. Nisha Kotecha is a Pulmonologist and Critical Care specialist at Atlantic Health System and Atlantic Medical Group. She served as the Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Overlook Medical Center (OMC) from December 2020-August 2024, making tremendous contributions to improving and delivering high-quality metrics that have significantly impacted the care of critically ill patients.

Equally passionate about patient care in the ambulatory setting, Dr. Kotecha has a special interest in managing patients with interstitial lung disease, asthma, and lung cancer. She is a member of the Atlantic Health Lung Nodule Program’s specialist provider team.

Dr. Kotecha is involved in educating residents in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine programs at Overlook Medical Center (OMC) and serves as Co-Chair of the Community Palliative Care Advisory Board. Dr. Kotecha has authored several publications, including a book chapter, and was the recipient of the NJ Health Care Heroes Physician of the Year Award for 2023.
