About me
John Calicchio, DO, is a primary care physician with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in family practice by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, he has over 25 years of experience caring for children and adults with acute and chronic conditions. Knowledgeable and understanding, Dr. Calicchio helps navigate the path for patients and assists them in making informed choices regarding their health. Dr. Calicchio earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY, and completed his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY, where he was the recipient of an award for excellence in family practice.
Dr. Calicchio is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

- 5.0Dec 17, 2024It was a virtual visit. I switched to this office for primary care in Jan 2024. I have been very happy with care from Dr Calicchio and Janine Ruppert. The only thing I think could use improvement is more timely office visits for certain more pressing medical ailments. I am retired but worked in management in medical malpractice claims for 30 years representing Drs, nurses, hospitals, etc and this is a very good practice.
