Sheilah O'Halloran, Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs

Sheilah O’Halloran is Executive Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel – Interim Chief Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, Research Integrity Officer, ACO Compliance Officer. Prior to this appointment, she served as Vice President, Legal Affairs since 2015.

Ms. O’Halloran previously served as Assistant General Counsel for six years overseeing corporate and regulatory affairs. In her role, Ms. O’Halloran is responsible for the organization’s legal services, risk management and claims management functions. She also serves as the Corporate Secretary.

Before joining Atlantic Health System in 2010, Ms. O’Halloran was a partner at Schenck, Price, Smith & King and was responsible for the firm’s health care practice. She provided general corporate, regulatory, litigation, and labor and employment services to physicians and health care institutions throughout New Jersey, and served Atlantic Health System since its formation in 1996.

Ms. O’Halloran is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the New Jersey Hospital Association In-House Counsel Constituency Group and the Health and Business Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a trustee emeritus of the Board of the Business Law Section of the State Bar and a former trustee and counselor of the Morris/Essex Inn of Transactional Counsel. Ms. O’Halloran is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Seton Hall Law Center for Health and Pharmaceutical Law & Policy. Ms. O’Halloran serves as the immediate past Chair of the Board of the Westfield Area Y and chairs numerous Y Board Committees.

Ms. O’Halloran received her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Montclair State University. She earned her master’s degree in Translation from the University of Montreal, where she also served as an adjunct professor. Ms. O’Halloran’s Juris Doctor degree is from Seton Hall University School of Law.
